YAMU Media (“YAMU,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates yamumedia.com (the “Site”) and provides performance marketing services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or interact with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

1.1 Information you give us directly

• Application form. When you apply for selection, we collect your name, business email, phone number, company website, current monthly revenue range, target revenue, monthly ad spend range, timing, commitment level, and a free-text description of your challenge.
• Newsletter signup. When you subscribe to our journal, we collect your email address.
• Direct contact. When you email or message us, we receive whatever you choose to send.
• Calls you book. When you schedule a call via Calendly, you provide your name, email, and any details you add. Calendly handles the booking and may also collect technical data from your device — see their privacy notice.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard request data including IP address, user agent, referrer, and the URL requested. This is used for security, performance, and abuse prevention.
• Functional cookies only. The Site does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Functional cookies (for example, a session identifier or a preference you set) may be used. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where required.

1.3 Information from third parties

• If you reach us through LinkedIn or a referral, we may receive limited profile information from that source.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and determine selection fit.
• To send our journal and operator dispatches if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the business, and only as needed for them to do their job:

• GoHighLevel — our customer relationship platform. Application and newsletter submissions are stored here.
• Vercel — our hosting provider for the Site.
• Calendly — the scheduling tool for qualifying calls.
• Google Workspace— used for our internal email and document handling. If you email us, that message is stored in Google’s services.
• Professional advisors and authorities — when required by law, court order, or to defend our legal rights.

4. How long we keep information

We retain your information for as long as we have a legitimate business reason to do so — typically the duration of our relationship plus a reasonable archive period. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe. Application records are kept for the duration of any engagement and for a reasonable period after, for legal and operational continuity.

5. Your rights

You can email hello@yamumedia.com at any time to:

• Ask what information we hold about you.
• Request that we correct or delete it.
• Withdraw consent for newsletter or other communications (unsubscribe links also work).
• Request a copy of your information in a portable format.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically 30 days.

6. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, the categories of third parties we share it with, and you have the right to request deletion or correction.

The categories of personal information we collect, as defined by California law: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (business details you submit), and internet/network activity (server log data).

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses only functional cookies necessary for the Site to work properly. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings.

If we begin using analytics or advertising cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and we will provide a consent mechanism where required by law.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable threshold). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach materially affects you, we will notify you and any regulators as required by law.

10. International users

YAMU is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email or post a prominent notice on the Site.
